Ryan Gunderson is an award-winning composer known for his emotive melodies, passionate writing, and commissioned works, especially for the U.S. Army. His music blends orchestral richness with modern textures, creating deeply expressive scores for film, interactive media, and concert performances. His music is recognized for its ability to captivate audiences and elevate storytelling - as in his concert piece, “The Spirit of Adventure,” which won 2nd place in the international New Works Rising competition.

Gunderson studied at USC under renowned composers Garry Schyman (BioShock), Frank Ticheli, and Morten Lauridsen, shaping his distinctive voice in both media and concert music. His compositions range from sweeping orchestral themes to intimate, emotionally charged pieces, always driven by a deep connection to narrative and emotion.
