Anwen Borgo is a Colorado-born composer and multi instrumentalist. She came to film scoring with a love of bringing character and worlds to life through music, and is passionate about working closely with filmmakers to discover the sound that is uniquely right for their story.

Anwen grew up writing orchestral music and has had her compositions commissioned and performed throughout Colorado. While she is very familiar with orchestral music, she loves exploring synthesizers, experimental sounds, smaller intimate ensembles, and an ever-growing collection of unconventional instruments (including her handpan). She is inspired by scores such as The Hunger Games, Assassin’s Creed, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Witcher, Dune, How to Train Your Dragon, and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.

Her recent credits include the award-winning short film Where Dead Things Grow, for which she received Best Composer honors at two international film festivals. Her work spans film, animation, and interactive media, with a particular interest in emotionally driven stories, fantasy, science fiction, and imaginative worlds.

Anwen has an undergraduate degree in Screen Scoring from Berklee College of Music and is now pursing a Master of Music in Screen Scoring at USC Thornton School of Music. She loves collaborating with filmmakers to explore ideas together and find the musical voice that can make a story feel immersive and unforgettable.
