Scoring is a conversation. I find the sound a story is asking for, and build it with the people telling that story.

THE STAGE
Trained in classical piano and percussion from an early age, he has performed as principal percussionist at:

Carnegie Hall
Sydney Opera House
Wiener Musikverein, Vienna

All three are historic stages that demand precision and presence in equal measure. He brings that same attention to the page when composing.

THE SOUND
Adventure, wonder, action and spectacle. Brandon’s writing sits in the orchestral film tradition, informed by Alan Menken, Jerry Goldsmith and Randy Newman. Worlds are built on sweeping themes, memorable motifs, and the restraint to let a single line carry a scene. Storytelling is the center of it: the emotional arc first, then the score that serves it.

BEYOND THE SCORE
Brandon orchestrates, mixes, produces and conducts. He works with live players and, having sat in the section himself, writes knowing what he is asking them to play. He enjoys working hands on at every stage a cue passes through, fluent in the industry standard software and hardware a session runs on.
