Katharina Gerke is a German media composer, pianist, and organist.

Growing up with a classical music education, she enjoys writing orchestral scores while also experimenting with modern elements and synthesizers. One of the aspects she enjoys most about writing music is the storytelling and the atmosphere that music can create.

During her undergraduate studies in Composition for Film and Theater, Katharina had the opportunity to collaborate with many different people, including filmmakers, dancers, musicians, and broadcasters. Alongside her studies, she worked on many short film projects and composition commissions, such as writing music for a podcast and composing the theme for Dag van de Componist.

As a collaborative person who brings a lot of experience in this field, Katharina is open to a wide variety of projects to which she can contribute.
