Keagan Richard is a Philadelphia-born composer and orchestrator who is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Screen Scoring at the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music. Previously he received his B.M. through Berklee College of Music’s Screen Scoring program with additional studies in Musical Theater composition.

As a saxophonist from an early age, Keagan originally fell in love with arranging and orchestrating for the various chamber and wind ensembles in the Philadelphia region. But that love later pivoted to composing for these ensembles to craft stories through the newly-adored medium.

Keagan’s music is driven by his passion for storytelling. His work is mostly in film, animation, and video games, with a special interest in projects that fill the soul. Recent work includes the short Heroin, But This Time with an E. He is inspired by the many scores of John Williams, Alan Menken, John Powell, Blake Neely, Henry Jackman, and more.
